A native of Suffern, NY, Amanda came full-circle when she joined Reiter Law as an associate. She began as a legal intern and continued to grow with the firm through law school. Amanda now focuses her practice on wills, trusts and estates, including estate planning, estate administration, special needs planning, charitable planning, Medicaid planning, asset protection, business succession, guardianship, and nonprofit law. Amanda has also broadened her scope of practice to include roles as general counsel for small to medium-sized businesses as well as advise clients on various transactional matters including commercial and residential real estate transactions, business litigation, and employment matters.

Amanda’s compassion and intelligence combine to create the perfect recipe for this line of work. From handling the intricacies associated with estate planning for high net worth individuals, to administrating an estate after the passing of a loved one, Amanda plays a key role in supporting clients through these times, regardless of the size or complexity of the estate.

During Law School, Amanda clerked for the Honorable Joan M. Kenney of the Supreme Court of New York, New York County. Amanda was also a clinical law student in the William and Mary Foster Elder Law Clinic at Buffalo Law School, the Vice President of the Labor and Employment Relations Society, as well as a Clerk for the Buffalo Human Rights Law Review. In addition, Amanda participated in SUNY Buffalo Law School’s New York City Program in Finance and Law, where she studied many aspects of financial, corporate, and tax law.

As of February 2017, Amanda is certified under Article 81 of the New York Mental Hygiene Law as a Guardian, Court Evaluator and Attorney for Alleged Incapacitated Person.

Amanda’s skills are not just in the law.  Amanda was a Division 1 swimmer at Binghamton University, and now continues her passion for athletics with triathlons and half marathons.

Amanda currently resides in San Diego, CA with her husband, Justin, and their dog, Brady.
